(Deuteronomy 7:12-15)

12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these

 judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God

 shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he

 sware unto thy fathers: 13 And he will love thee, and bless

 thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy

 womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and

 thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep,

 in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 14

 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male

 or female barren among you, or among your cattle. 15 And the

 Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none

 of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee;

 but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

This portion of God’s word not only speaks of being blessed financially but speaks of being blessed in you health for having children. So many today are faced with the report by their doctor that they will never be able to have children. For some reason the wife or the husband has a problem producing children and then it’s like having all your dreams of having a little girl or boy around the house that you can call yours is over. Maybe you are one of those who heard from the doctor that you and your spouse will never be able to produce children. I can’t imagine the sorrow that might cause, especially if you have been waiting all your life for this special time in your life. But God’s word promises healing, when He declared in verse 14 of this chapter that, “there shall not be male or female barren among you”, all the Lord asks is that you trust Him and wait for His timing. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says there’s timing for everything. We must never give up believing God’s word. I know this sounds easier than it is but you must never lose hope in your desires for children of your own. Do you remember the Prophet Samuel’s mother Hannah? That dear woman went through exactly what we are talking about. She waited and waited, cried and cried then one day the Lord granted her desire. Why does the Lord wait so long, we will never know all the answers to that but we do know by His word that His timing is perfect? It feels at times that He’s not even listening but never forget that He said He would never leave us and never forsake us. We must hold fast to His promises in times like this and never give up; for He will come through for you. Keep seeking Him and living right in His sight, keep believing and you will see your desire come. Began to write scriptures down that talk about God’s promises of having children, I gave you one of them here in Deuteronomy and there are many others. Write them down and read them everyday and remind the Lord of His promises, surly one day you will see that desire of a child come into your life in Jesus name.
