(Leviticus 14:1-7)

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 This shall

be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He

shall be brought unto the priest: 3 And the priest shall go

forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold,

if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper; 4 Then shall

the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed

two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and

hyssop: 5 And the priest shall command that one of the

birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:

6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar

wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them

and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed

over the running water: 7 And he shall sprinkle upon him

that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and

shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose

 into the open field.
Here in this scripture we see the work of the cross revealed. Remember, Jesus is glorified in every book of the Bible even the Old Testament. From Genesis to Revelations Jesus is glorified. If you remember what Jesus said in (Matthew 5:17), He declared, “I have not come to destroy the law but to fulfill the law”. Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament. When we as God’s children begin to understand this we will begin to enjoy the whole Bible instead of just parts of the Bible. The word of God is so awesome and always full of excitement. But here in Leviticus 14, we see the work of the cross revealed. First, I want you to see that leper in the Bible always represents sin. In verse 2 of this scripture we see that the Lord is giving Moses the law of the leper (or sinner) and then he (the leper) is to be brought unto the priest. Who is our High Priest? It’s Jesus right! So priest here is symbolic of our High Priest Jesus Christ. Now, this is awesome, in verse 3, the Bible declares “the priest should go out side the camp”. Jesus our priest went outside the city for us and became sin, then died for us on the cross. According to Leviticus sin or leprosy could not enter into the camp. In order for Jesus to become sin for you and I the Father had to take Him outside the city (John 19:20), to die for us. Isn’t that powerful! Now, there is so mush more I could show you here but I just wanted to show you even in the Old Testament Jesus is glorified. Because you and I were born into sin we were destined to death and bondage, but Jesus our High Priest became sin for us. Now, we are no-longer bond to sin and sickness. Today, because of Jesus Christ we are no-longer born into sin, we are reborn into righteousness and called the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21) So yes, you can expect your healing today no matter how big your mistakes were yesterday. It has nothing to do with you and it has everything to do with the price that Jesus Christ paid on the cross for you and I. Receive your healing today in Jesus mighty name.
